My LFS just got in some forktail blennies from the Bali/Indo area.

One of these looks closer to the canary blenny posted below

Meiacanthus%20ovalauensis%20FJ%20(2).JPG

Looks very similar to this species. but has a light colored line across the face between the eyes and a black line down the dorsal, however the coloring is closer to that of M. atrodorsalis.

(thanks to Wetwebmedia for the image!)

Big question actually...

I'm reading conflicting reports about this fish, According to wetwebmedia it feeds on plankton, however the listing for the whole genus Plagiotremus says they're a no-go for reef tanks because they feed on the scales and flesh of other fish.

Any thoughts?

To clairify, the 2nd image is the one i'm looking at, the first is from wetweb.

Some Plagiotremus will feed on scales, especially P. tapienosoma and P. rhinorhynchos. This is not usually the case with P. laudandus, but I would monitor it carefully. The second image is the Australia/Indonesia/Philippines color morph of P. laudandus, the first is the Fiji color morph, but some people call them species and consider the Fiji form to be P. flavus.
