Melanurus wrasse... slow eater or vision issues?

I picked up a Melanurus wrasse two weeks ago.. He's been sitting in QT and doing great. Treated for prazi just in case and right now just in observation.

He eats fine but he isn't able to eat quick like my other fish. Sometimes the food floats right pass him and he wont even notice it.. it just fall and if he stumbles over the food while he's swimming, he will reach and eat it.

Afraid that once he goes in the DT, he wont have a chance to eat considering all my other fish are very aggressive eaters and dart around at the food.

Is this normal for a melanurus or does he have a vision problem?

hard to say for sure. how often do you feed?
some fish will just eat random food in the water column and not every single piece that goes by them. others try to get everything everywhere.

I don't have one at the moment, but when I did it took them a while to 'learn' to take food out of the water column. When ive seen them in the wild, they eat off the rocks and the sand.
