I'm glad you liked it. I was wondering if anyone else was downloading it.

I downloaded it. It's quite nice. I had problems viewing other videos that you have posted but this worked fine. Thanks for sharing!

All my videos are made in Microsoft Movie Maker. The other ones you've had problems with - did you save them to your harddrive and they simply wouldn't play? They are all wmv files, until I start using something else to edit and save them as.

The anen. is quite big! Any thoughts to V 2.0 ?

If I ever make another one, it will have a closed loop, and external overflow to not block the light and a top flange. The rest of it is fine the way it is.

I saved them to the hard drive and when I went to play them, they would stutter and skip. Could be a problem with my connection when I downloaded it, I suppose. The last vid and others from other sources worked fine.

How odd. I've not seen that from the files I have. Next time you have one that doesn't work correctly, please let me know the specific video. I'll download that myself and check to see if I can copy your results or not.

Mine still works like it should, but it doesn't run silently. It makes a small gulp-gulp sound, but it is in the foyer and essentially out of earshot.

At the same time, that visual sound reminds me that the return pump is working as it should. Since it is the lifesupport of this tank, I have no issue with the slight sound of water.

My drainline is roughly 14' long, and I think it sags a tad which might even explain the gulping sound.

marc, what a cool idea.i love it.one question,is the front glass one piece that is bent or two pieces glued at an angle.forgive me if this has been asked and answered,i did not have time to read the whole thread.thanks Dan

I glued the angled seam, but it didn't come out very pretty. I think a bend would be nicer, honestly.

Im not sure why you RBTAs are all extended. They are huge in comparison to mine, but mine are more expanded. How high is the light? Maybe try feeding them as I do whenever I feed the tank frozen.
BTW the tank is great, like something out of Monterey Bay Aquarium. ;)

If I fed them more, I'd have a nightmare on my hands. Unless you want me to get into the business of propagating and selling RBTAs, that is. ;)

The light is directly on top of the tank, 150w DE MH bulb.

Hmmm...I can't seem to get the vid to download. It could be my connection we are having a windy day and sometimes my dish moves and my connection is not as good as it should be. Not sure. I have tried it several times. Oh well. I'll try it again later.
