Melev's new Nano!

Absolutely. It has been working its way all around the tank for the past couple of weeks. I doubt it could process enough sand single-handedly, but it definitely does work. I have hermits stirring up the sand some, which helps.

Marc,

The photo with the pavona has an orange ricordia in there as well... it's not really expanded... it is coming back or on the downhill road? I'm wondering if you're doing aanything specifically to it because I had orange rics that went downhill and look like that for the moment but not quite sure what to do to bring em back...

That's one that withered away in my prop section, and I placed it into this tank in hopes it would heal. I don't have any reason to think it'll recover, but I do like to give them a shot at survival.

I have another one in this tank that looks great.

It is called Dragon's Breath. I was trying to get an ID in the Macro Algae forum, but the person I tend to trust has been offline for a couple of months. It is non-invasive, so it doesn't attach to the rockwork like other macro algaes. I added it for the look, mainly.

Marc, you went to MACNA? Boy I should have went. Only an hour away. Anyhow, it's always fun reading your threads. Now I have to explain to my girlfriend why I need a nano plumbed into my display. Thanks... :)

I posted about it on DFWMAS. I'll have to get you a link. And you know what? I still have a bunch of pictures from that trip that still need adding.

I'll have to make a few pages for my site on that too. Geeze! Soo much to do, soo little time. (Btw, if "too" is for "too much", we should get to use "soo" occasionally. :D )

Well I could have made you the stand for your nano and you could have made me the tank... good trade? I was too broke to go. I would have came back with all my credit cards maxed.

Ah. :( Being broke sucks. However, much of what we got to see, eat & drink was free this year. You would have only been out the gas to the location, and the entry fee. Even a day pass was pretty reasonable.

Next year, it'll cost you way more. Start saving! :)

Thanks for asking. I'll see what I can post in the next day or so.

Today, I picked up a Money Cowrie from a LFS in Oklahoma for this tank.

MELEV: Thanks for attending our event in OKC. It was nice to finally meet you and person after meeting you here on RC. Hope you had fun. It was a blast for all of us, but boy I'm still tired. But the best tired.....................

Lynn, I'm sooo tired. Not sleeping at all from Friday 10:30am until Saturday night at 10pm, other than the 10 mins at the rest stop on my way to CRASE - well let's just say it and all the driving put a damper on my normal energy level.

I'll be posting pictures from the event in my 280g thread probably. Or at least link it there so others can find it.

After I got home from work Friday night, I started doing tank stuff that had to be done since I"d be away a couple of days. And I hate leaving a house that is dirty because I don't want to come back to a mess, so laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc... all got done during the night.

I acclimated the Money Cowrie to the tank, and added a couple of tiny gobies I caught months ago during the collection trip at Port Aransas.

A few aiptasia were 'fed'. ;)

The new Korallia Nano pump is creating some new flow in the tank, but it'll take time to determine if it is enough for that system.

One of the mini carpet anemones split while I was out of town, so now there are 5 on that little rock.
