Melting zoas and acclimation.

Two questions, I recently had a shipment of corals get a little cold, only the Kedds Reds melted, but one polyps was opening while the other disintigrated. Its not 'over' yet per se but is there anything i can do?

Second, i just got in another batch of zoas that were cold as well, sub 60 farenhite, should I do anything to help gaurd against instant death?

I would say you should request a heat pack in your shipment and talk with your shipper about what they think is needed being that they probably ship more frequently. A good seller ships carefully and will refund dead corals provided you paid for quality shipping.

I only had this problem once and it was also the kedd redds that died they replaced with a better coral as they were out of stock at that time so win for me but still have no kedd reds.

yeah the colony has turned kinda white, not spotted like zoa pox, but im thinking it wont completely melt.All the zoas/palys i got today are still plump and acclimated so Ill see what happens.
