More please tank looks great!
Thanks... there will be plenty more as corals grow in.
I am going to try some side by side before and after growth shots.
Seeing them every day, you really loose perspective on how fast they
do grow.

Looking very tasty mate :)
Thanks... But I do envy you for your location!

Great pictures (corals are pretty nice too ๐Ÿ˜‰)!
Thanks... I am happy so far.

Very nice!

So I will ask the usual questions. Tank information, parameters, lighting, etc. Especially, long term, how do you maintain success with SPS? Thanks.

EDIT, er information not already in signature that is. :)

Why kalk and calcium reactor. What bulbs? Anything you find that works well for you that you want to share?

Also link to your camera please. I'm interested. Great photos are they photo shopped or raw with your logo put on top.

You sound alot like my ex!
I don't have a build thread, so I will post here soon.

I use the Ca reactor as my primary source for daily upkeep for Ca, Alk, & Mg. I use a Litermeter III for ATO. I use two pumps. The primary is just RODI water straight into sump, secondary pump goes thru the Alk reactor then to sump. I use about 6.75 liters per day for evaporation, so I have my primary (A) pump set to 5.75 liters the secondary (B) set to 1 liter. If Alk goes up, I reduce pump B by "X" amount, say .25 liters, and increase pump A by the same .25 amount to maintain the 6.75 liters I need daily. Same holds true if Alk goes down, increase pump B while decreasing pump A by the same amount. This way I can control Alk at a more stable level and any changes I do need to make are very gradual.

Camera is a Nikon D5300 with a Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8G ED Macro Lens.
Not photoshopped, but are post processed in Lightroom. I shoot pictures in raw format, then adjust the white balance to get rid of the "blue" from the actinics. I also adjust exposure, highlights, whites and blacks to get them to look more like they really do in my tank. I do not play with saturation, or color. WYSIWYG!

Looking good! Where's the FTS???
Thanks! Will get an updated one.

Beautiful pics. Whole tank shot? Well done
Thanks!

Thanks! Yes sig has most of the surface details. More to follow.

Tank Details

Tank Details

As requested (or demanded )...

Comments are my personal opinion and what works for me.

Tank is mostly SPS, but a have a few LPS and NPS

80 gallon Deep Blue Rimless Reef Ready
Tank is bare bottom with HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) or as it's call Starboard
About 40-50 lbs of Marco Rock, maybe another 10lbs of rubble in sump for pods
Trigger Sump - Emerald 34
Aqua Medic light - 2 250W DE MH Phoenix 14K with 2 54w ATI Pure Actinics
Actinics 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm MH 2:00pm - 9:00pm M-F
Actinics 10:30am - 10:00pm MH 12:00pm - 9:00pm S-S
Water Blaster HY-3000 Pump 750GPH for return
Reef Octopus SRO 2000 INT skimmer
Precision Marine Kalk Reactor
Advance Reef Technologies K2R CA Reactor into a DIY second chamber
to help scrub off excess co2. This is old, don't think it's available any more
AquaUV 25w classic UV sterilizer plumbed inline with the return. 100% of the water goes thru 24/7
Ozotech 200ml ozone generator
Apex to monitor and control ORP, Ca reactor pH, conductivity (salinity), Finnex heaters,
lights, MP40 QD's
Apex DOS for daily 1.5 gal AWC
Litermeter III for ATO of both plain RODI and for the Kalk reactor
2 MP40-QD one at each end running anti-sync
JBJ Chiller for the summer months
I do not run carbon, gfo, or any other type of media.
I do not run a refugium or algae scrubber.
I do not have any algae issues.
Sump has 2 4" filter socks changed when the water overflows them.
I use plain old purple box Instant Ocean salt.
The only supplement I use is Aquavitro Fuel - 25 ml 2x weekly.
I feed very heavy, twice daily with an Apex AFS pellets, then 3-4 cubes at night.
I mix a cube of mysis & brine shrimp in a shot glass then squirt into the tank. I do hand feed
the 4 sun corals and dendros. Maybe every once in a while I also hand feed the duncans
and candy canes.
Twice a week, I feed Reef Roids and Goniopower
Water parameters:
Temp 77-79 daily - I thinks a range is more healthy for the corals
Salinity 1.026-1.027
Ca 450-475 Salifert, Nyos, and Hanna I use all three
Alk 9.5-10 Hanna
Mag 1350-1400 Salifert
NO3 <5 but not zero Nyos
PO4 .02-.03 Hanna ULR (converted)

Stocking list:
2 Blue Chromis
1 Yellow Tang
1 Fox Face
1 Royal Gramma
1 Six Line Wrasse
2 Neon Gobies
1 Lemark Angle
3 Lyretail Anthias 1m 2f
1 Stripped Blenny
Mated pair True Percula clownfish -laying but I don't raise offspring
Mated pair Banggai Cardinal - breeding - I am rearing the young. Have the
first brood at 3 weeks.
2 (PITA) Cleaner Shrimp

Tank was 1 year old 01-Mar-16. As with any reef tank, it's a work in progress.
I'll post more picture as time goes by.

Thanks to all that have left comments and have asked questions.

Hey sweet photos!

how do you ha e your ozone set up?

Thanks!

It's an Ozotech 200ml unit. It is plumbed into the Reef Octopus skimmer.
The ORP is monitored and controlled by the Apex. I run the ORP 340-360.
I use a small air pump that pumps air thru an air dryer (color changing silica desiccant that I regenerate in the oven), then thru the ozone generator, then on to the skimmer. I have a skimmate collector with carbon on the exhaust to absorb any excess O3.
I don't use any carbon on the skimmer output as O3 is very unstable in saltwater and is broken down before it reaches the display. I don't see any negative effects on livestock, but I do have crystal clear water.
If you need more info, let me know, I'll post pics.

I thought I read somewhere that the bubble blaster pump was not recommended for ozone? The body is fine though. Where did you place the ozone output on the skimmer?
