Mako Shark II- Are you familiar with the place I am talking about. No lie, the guy tried to charge me like $15.00 for an aptasia. He tried to tell me it was a "special" kind of anemone. HA!...Special...

John -
Yes, I know the Shop you're talking about. I've been in there a couple times. Very nice stuff for twice the Price. I'll Pass, thank you.

And yes, Kermit's Website is nothing but a placeholder, but the Store? Ah, now that's another story! What Dave lacks in I.T. prowess (or desire, not sure which one), he more than makes up for in knowledge. His tank set-ups are to be envied and he's forgotten more than most of us know. And his main Display tank is among the best I've ever seen, and I too am well traveled. (Chicago, Atlanta & Nashville have nice stores too. St. Louis isn't bad. Stay out of New York!!!)

Also, you must stop by MemFish. http://www.memfish.net Andy & Richard have nice corals, fish & supplies as well. Again, their website is not great, despite their supposed I.T. ties. (I’m gonna get in trouble for that one!) :p

But really, neither stores are Web-based businesses. They are true LFS's and both Stores are a Must See when in MEM.

And "good" (established) LR should run you $6-9 / pound, depending on the source and coralline. Kermit’s & MemFish each have LR tubs that are "usually" well stocked, depending on their inventory at the time. (They turn the inventory over pretty regularly, so it's hit or miss.)

Hope to see you Saturday.
Marty

That site (kermitsreef.com) will never be developed. We own another site that uses our full name that is under development. When all is said and done the old will redirect to the new. When they get it like I want, I'll reveal it to all.

I went to a store there a couple of years ago and they tried to charge me for an aptasia that was on a rock.

There is an anemone that comes out of the Caribbean that when small could be and is confused with Aiptasia sp. anemones. It is called the Corkscrew anemone (Bartholomea annulata) and to be fair some wholesalers sell them so it could have been what they had, maybe.

Dave is soooooo sweet!!!!!!!!!
