I need to make membership cards for those who have joined the club.

Who does not have a card? Let me word that a different way.

Who has paid their dues and does not have a card? Ok, let me word that differently too.

Who has paid their dues and has not been given a card?

To start the list: (any others)

Dana Hughes (digidana)

It was 9 p.m.
I realize that you now being married that anything after 8 is late. What are you going to do when you have kids? Sunset = bed?

lol Its totally Ashley's fault... I used to go to bed around 1 or 2... Now I start falling asleep on the couch around 10... Of course I didn't get up at 5 before... That and she works my ass off...

So this is the list that I have so far: (any others before I fire up the printer and laminator?

Dana Hughes (digidana)

Kim Rouse (Anchovy)

Chris Ray (fishdoc11)

Mike Gaugler (KafudaFish)

Actually I am willing, I guess, to make replacements. I will have to consult with the BOD to see how much of an exorbitant amount I can charge.;)

Anybody need replacement membership cards?

Travis

Got your PM. Well make the card for you.

Please LMK before Thursday if you need a new card or a replacement card.

Eddie

So,

Chase, do you want a card or not?:)

It is a huge problem to make it for you, but there is probably someone that thinks you are worth it.;) We are going to miss you -- Well, at least your cheese dip. Actually, I do not eat cheese dip, so the cheese dip is not a factor for me.

Should I add you to the list.?

Dana Hughes (digidana)

Kim Rouse (Anchovy)

Chris Ray (fishdoc11)

Mike Gaugler (KafudaFish)

Larry Roberts (Hawkeye)

Travis Lowe (reeflover)

Chase Arbuckle (Hurley12)???

Everyone else:

If you are thinking about joining, you know, paying the $$ and filling out the membership form, please LMK so I can have a card for you at the February meeting.

If you have lost your card, Scott, I can make a new one.

Eddie

FWIW, I went to Coral Reef last night...and I showed my membership card for the discount.

No, I didn't meet Russell. Who in the heck is Russell?

I got 3 turbos and 4 red legs hermits. I came about this X_____X close to going home with a high fin red banded goby, a purple firefish, and a cleaner shrimp though. Then I remembered all my reminders to every newbie that comes around about not rushing things...about waiting patiently while you water settles out. So I went home and tested my water.

Then I realized, it's been so long since I've been through any sort of cycling with a reef tank (and I'm not super confident in my kits thanks to Dave's advice on test kits) so now...not only do I have no idea what my test results meant, but I also have no confidence that the water actually read what I think it read.

Man I hate friggin' colorimetric titrations that are unclear. How am I supposed to judge if it's just this itsy bitsy different shade of green or yellow??? What am I...some kind of spectrophotometer?

I'm not trying to make people paranoid, just trying to point out some of the pitfalls. I'm sure Dave at the CR could test your water for little to nothing. I'd offer, but I can't test for ammonia or nitrite, which is probably what you're most interested in anyways. I personally have never bought a kit for either of those since once the cycling is complete, I've never had an issue with either of those.

Oh no...I absolutely took your advice as just something to be mindful of. I didn't buy these test kits, that's why I'm using test kits at all. hah hah. They came with the nano set up. YAY, RED SEA! I wouldn't have bought them myself as many of you know...I rarely test anything.

I tested ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH. For once, my pH appears to actually be in the 8.2 range.

My ammonia has something there, I think. It seemed to match up in between the 0 reading and the next highest one (I can't remember what that was now).

My nitrite tested at 0.

My nitrate tested at a decently high value of like 5-10 ppm (I think that's what it was). I figured I'd just water change to get rid of that.
