Hey Everyone,

just found out there is a club in Del. anyway if a Lewes are res wanted to be a member but didn't have a ton of time on hand to attend meeting due to involvement with kids (coach Scouts Ect.) is it still possible to be a member? I am all for anything that helps this awesome hobbie and also helping to insure our natural reefs are arround for my kids to see.Let me know.

Thanks

Hey Tazz, Welcome to the club! Anyone is welcome to be a member. We have a few members from south of Dover that show up once in a while. If you can't make it up for meetings, just keep in touch through the forum, and watch for trips and whatnot. Some activities may be closer to your area than you think!
Glad to have you on - Mary

Awesome Mary thanks for the reply. I'll keep my eye on the forum and the club site, hope to get the chance to share and learn.

Oh, I forgot to mention - PM me with your email address if you want to be added to our mailing list.

For anyone that may be on the fence as to joining, I can tell you firsthand that the info and the trades/donations I've received from the club have more than paid for 4-5 years of membership.

Some of the past members as well as Tbor, KaptKen, GEBC, and Mbbuna have been very helpful in making my transition from saltwater to reef more than a pleasant one and the results are showing in my tank now :), abundantly too :D.

Even if your only doing a simple saltwater tank the money you can save from the collective experiences from the club members will potentially save you at least hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars.

While I can't attend nearly as many meetings as I'd like to (due to school), I can say even after many years of participating in the hobby and retail sides of this, I walk away from every meeting wiser and with a better understanding of what it is I'm doing and how to go about it. The best part though is being able to meet and help new members/hobbyists who always bring a new perspective and fresh ideas :). New members are the future of the club and the hobby, bar none.
