I thought that living in Australia, relatively close to the Great Barrier Reef, would give me access to many options of colored anemones. Unfortunately that is not the case. I guess the colorful ones get shipped immediately to you guys in the states and all I've really seen is brown ones. I kind of took it for granted seeing bright green ones all the time when I lived in Cali. Anyways, just wondering if there is any chance that some of the very healthy large brown gigantea, magnifica, and haddoni that I have seen for sale will color up when given proper lighting and care.

Merry Christmas!

If they have a hint of color, they can become very colorful sometimes. I have a Haddoni that came to me brown with a tiny blue rim, and now it is almost all blue 3 months later.

I didnt notice any color on them but I might have to go back for a second look. I love giganteas and they did look really healthy when they came in though but Im not sure I want a tank full of brown anemones

The one pictured may not turn another color. Here's a crappy pic of mine for reference in 14000K lighting. It is now all blue. But there are brown ones too, so be careful.

Some anemones may not be found in certain colors in your area. Alot of the crazy colored haddoni and gigantea i have seen come from bali and phillipines.

Are you near a colder area of au

That's ones definitely blue bradleym, I'd love one like that!

Reefvette it's warm water here and they do a lot of collecting around the great barrier reef which is perfect for tons of cool marine life. There are some there but some guys told me they ship all the best ones to the states.
