Is it just me, or is the bokeh from the tube feet a bit distracting?

Yeah they're all over the place, people can interpret it as a less than perfect shot since they're totally out of focus, or it can produce a more dynamic feel to the picture. Whatever it is, bokeh or not, that's the reality of these little spiny monsters.

Neat pic. Visually interesting critter. A smaller aperature / higher fstop number would help with the depth of field. Gotta love anything with the word "glob" in its name.

I decided to go with a larger aperture to show the dynamics. the other shots I had with smaller apertures were definitely did not show the turbulence and motion as well.
