metal halide grow lights

would hydroponic grow lights work for a reef tank? i have seen some online for a lot cheaper then other metal halides.
1 250 Watt Metal Halide backpack (BG)
1 250 Watt Metal Halide Blub (Venture)
would these work? would i have to change bulbs?

Do you have a link. Grow lights use HPS and metal halide. How cheap is cheap?
