Are a 150watt bulb and a 250watt bulb the same size? I was wondering if i can put a 250watt bulb in my fixture if i buy a 250watt ballest too. Just wondering incase i ever decide to upgrade.

As long as ballast can handel wattage and your bulb is same type as you have now yes it should work
