I'm still looking for Metal Halide fixture. I haven't decided to buy used or new. Is there any good place to buy one on-line? Is aquatraders.com a good place? I know its cheap but, I'm sure about the quality. How much $ should I spend for a decent 250 watts MH fixture. Also, what do guys think is a better between single end or double end bulbs. Thanks

Aquatraders fixtures are good but the bulbs that come with it are about worthless. You would want to replace them.

Are you looking for a pendant? or a dual light setup? the HQI or double end are the way to go. The testing that has been done shows they are almost as bright as some single ended 400 watts.
The double ended bulbs are run at a higher wattage if you use an HQI ballast. something like close to 300 watts I have seen, depends on the ballast. So you are getting a little more light that way. They need to be shielded though with glass which cuts down on some of the potential light that they can actually produce.
