Metal Halides. Where to Buy?

Name says it all. I'm basically looking for light for my 90 which currently has PC lighting ( 4x96watt ). I'm looking to get a pair of 250watt MH. Sound right? Where's the best place to get them locally and online. I'm looking around online right now for good deals and found one for 196$ with 10k bulb but it's back ordered. Anyone selling their's?

I have 2 x 250w MH on my 46g and the heat is not a major issue.
I have a small fan blowing at the top of the tank, even if the A/C is off a small fan is enough to keep the temp at 80-81.

Thanks for the link - that's REALLY good info.
He mentions Graybar, and we happen to have a nice one in Miami, and other in Pompano and WPB.

Their site no longer lists the one near NW 22 and 22 in Miami.
I wonder if that one got shifter to the Medley one....

i'd get your bulbs at reef life, they have great deals on hamilton bulbs. I really like the 14k hamiltons.

250w's are 49.99

Damn Mel, I never realised that you run 2x250 on a 46g without a chiller! that's nuts! I can't keep the temp below 83 on my 24g nano with a 150w... more power to you!

I have a 20g Long Nano with a 150w MH and Actinics fixture.
The temp goes to 82 or less and that one has no fans and sump.
I keep this fixture about 8 inches off the water....since the tank is shallow.

The one in NW22 shutdown and moved to Medley a while back. Never thought of looking at Graybar.

Hadn't been to that Graybar (22 and 22) in quite a long time.

They shut down the one over by the Zoo a LOOOOONG time ago.

Their website has alot of stuff listed, when you search for halide.
It's just not the most intuitive way to go through search results!
