Mh ballast problem

Although the cords now are longer the 6 '. I just figure since the ballasts ran 250w HQI that they would run the radiums. Not so. I guess they are just magnetic. Anyway have 2 lumateks and waiting for another so I'm already commited. I'll be starting my light rack today. I was going to go EZrail but thats another $200+and since I'm a cabinetmaker I always regress to wood. Once I'm done I'll be selling my 6' coralife 3-250hqi/4-96w fixture.

I have been using Lumateks with radiums for a year and half now, and have had great results. I had a par meter when I first set them up, and while I dont remember the numbers the par was higher on the HQI setting. I personally never found them too blue for me, but I love a bluer look, and run the radiums now with t5 blue plus and royal blue leds supplementing and it has been my favorite lighting to date.

Just a side note after I spent $330 on 3 Lumatek with 2 being used the Galaxys selectable is on sale for 79.95 free shipping ,figures. This has been my luck thru the whole process. Am I missing a sign here?
