MH Ballast Question

Is there a way to test a ballast to see it is working? I came home today to find that my dual 250W ballast had not fired the lights. It is warm to the touch like it normally is. It is set up on a RKE controller to prevent it from rapid restarts.

If you have more bulbs or other ballasts you can rule out that way.

Yeah I will try that. I have another lamp I can test the bulbs in, but I just dont see both bulbs going out completely at the same time, not my Radiums :worried:

Missed the dual part.

I would swap the bulbs and also try plugging directly into a wall socket to completely rule out the controller.

measure the output with a volt ohm meter.
