mh bulbs

so i finally just ordered a second 250w retrofit brand new from hellolights after a few deals fell threw but now my only problem is it doesnt come with a bulb .... my other bulb i already have i belive is an xm 20k or atleast thats what i was told.... im worried if i get a differant bulb it wont match exactly so i guess im looking to get 2 new bulbs ... i guess my question is why are some of these bulbs so expensive?? and whats the differance between a $10 14k bulb from ebay or a $65 14k hamilton bulb??

You could have them free if you want them.

i dont have much experince with mh, but since i started my 92, i had used the bulb the previous owner had while the tank was cycling and recently replaced it with an Iwasaki 175w 15k and the difference was mind blowing. i read nothing but great reviews about it and decided it would probably worth the $80 at hellolights, and i am very happy i did it.

again, idk about ebay bulbs besides that several people use them, but imo, with alot of things in this hobby, you get what you pay for. i do understand your concern though, a bunch of quality bulbs adds up quick

i love my hamiltons, reeflife had great deal on them. 50 bucks or something like that. I did hear great things about the iwasaki's as well though
