MH Choice for 38 Gallon

If it's more than $100 I wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't buy the FNI either. If you plan on keeping whatever it is you buy then it makes sense to buy quality that won't be obsolete or fail in a year or two. The FNI is made to be cheap but the price isn't really cheap for what you get. I guess it depends on what your long term goals are. Fortunately with that size tank it won't be hard to light it.

nono, i mean hamilton and giesemann:

celu mh fixture and teszla led, basically the same price

Not a bad choice, most bulbs put out an equivalent par to a 150 but a few bulbs put out awesome par.

Ok but keep this in mind, I was bleaching sps at 30" from my Ushio 10k's so plan on some acclimation. Even though the Cebu isn't as good of a reflector as the LumenArc you can still bleach them pretty easily if they come from a lower par environment.

I suppose you have already figured out that you should not try a Ritteri in a 38 gallon tank, they get way too big.
