MH light bulbs

I know the confusing research is out there.... But, what is the best blue SE 250w MH bulb that will give me moderate growth in a tall tank? I have 10K XM's that are just plain white. Even with 2 actinic bulbs. I like blue. And if anyone is interested in taking my 10k 250 w SE bulbs they can have them for free. They are about 7 months old running 6 hrs a day. Probably have some time left in them.

lighting is subjective so there might not be a "best".

What type of ballast(s) do you have?

There is no visible manufacturer on it. It came with the tank when I bought it used.

Radiums (a good 20k blue bulb) run best on a pulse start or electronic ballast.

If you have a probe start ballast the Hamilton 14k might be blue enough for you.

How do I know what ballast I have? The XM bulbs worked fine. Does that mean anything?

Electronic. Metal box with wires. Sounds like it is the Radiums. Thanks Gary
