MH question

I purchased a 70 watt ballast.

I wired it up, it starts up and all is fine... BUT, everytime it starts it makes a bunch of loud clicking sounds, the other lights on that power strip flicker then it settles down and warms up ...

Is this normal, if not what is going on?

Probably the ignitor. The other lights flickering is because of the high current draw at start up, everytime the ignitor fires. Should be OK.
