MH question

Alright, maybe dumb question, maybe not. Seeing that I really dont know that much about MH lights I was wondering this. I have my 29 gallon tank and I was thinking of running 2 70w halides, just to spread the light out a little more. Now for what may be to dumb question, can you run two 70w bulbs off of one 150w ballast, or does it HAVE to be 2 70w ballast. Just didnt know it you could hook 2 bulbs up to one ballst, kind of like running you speakers in you trunk bridged...

It has to be 2 70W MH ballast. 1 150 will not work.

Thats what I would have guessed also, thanks. It only makes sense, logic I guess.

If you get the right reflector you could get the same spread with 1 150w HQI as 2 70w's... Russ has a sweet reflector that would work great on a 29, if you have the clearance for it.

I've got a bit of clearance, maybe 6-7 inches under the canopy, thats about all the room I have.
