I think it's a little more than that, like $80 but it's not a deal breaker. But, if the 250's make you run more fans or larger fans, then it could add up. Just gotta make sure I account for everything.

Why not just go with the 250, you said down the road you want to get SPS in the tank. But be careful acclimating your present collection of corals to the brighter lights.

Well, I will be adding SPS and I know 250's would be fine for all types of corals, but I'd like to use the 175's if they would be enough.
That's the advice I'm seeking. Would 175's let everything thrive...not just survive?

I have read an article reviewing Lumen Bright Reflectors:

They got excellent Pars from 175 that were close to that of some 250s with a lot less heat generation.

To decide between 175s or 250s would really depend on the reflectors you choose.

I am using the Lumen Bright Mini w/ 250 Radium over my standard 90gl.
