MH wattage and spectrum

Hmmm bad growth? I say that has more to do with bulb brand and ballast type. Rogers tank has been growing like mad since we switched out to 14K Phoenix bulbs, I expected a slow down in growth but am quite pleased with teh results.

Brock if I remember correctly, the SE MH bulbs have UV filtration built into the glass the bulb is made from. DE bulbs don't have UV filtration. You would have to add a glass between the bulb and the tank with UV protection.

Maybe someone else can confirm.

All good DE fixtures will include the UV shield worry not.
