Micro bubbles in display

Recently ive been noticing bubbles coming from my return. I'm guessing it might be something with my return pump but not 100% sure. When i dial down the pump from the valve it stops shooting out bubbles but when i dial it back up, mad bubbles come shooting out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

possable the return pump is creating a vortex and sucking air into the pump. Try putting a elbo PVC on the input of the pump forcing the pump to draw its water from the bottom of the sump rather then to the sides where it can create a small whorlpool

I already have an elbow pvc facing down in the sump that's connected to an external return pump.

Check the siphon break at the top of the return line. If it is above the water line, or close to it, it can suck in air and spit bubbles out into the tank.

thats fine too. My tank has been running for 4-5yrs and it just started doing this the past week.

Oh, I bet you developed a leak somewhere then. The tiniest little pinhole will pull in a ton of air.
