Micro bubbles

I have a 29 GALLON aquarium that has a cascade 1000 canister filter. every so often the outtake on the filter will shoot out a bunch of micro bubbles. It seems it shoots a burst of them about every five minutes. My question is where are they coming from and how can I stop them. I think they are bubbles but they could just be small particals (maybe sand). Has anyone experienced this?

It could be just blowing out air that was trapped inside since the last time you closed the filter. It could also be building up air from the intake if any bubbles are going in. Every 5 minutes is pretty frequent. My power heads blow a burst of bubbles every once and a while (I'll notice it maybe once a week or so).

It's been running about a week and a half now. And it's been doing it since its been set up if its blowing out air you would have figured it would all be out by now.

If I remember the cascade right it has a primer button on the top. Have you tried pressing that several times while in operation? it might force some trapped air out.

hmm I don't know. It's still doing it. Is it not weird that its in bursts and not gradually doing it? I tried hitting the primer button and it did push bubbles out but it is still doing it.
