i got 5 polyps of nightmares but they're tiny! Anyone know something i can do, or will they just stay small. Every nightmare i've seen has been like a dime sized polyp (or am i wrong), is it possible they're just micros?

Just give it time. They should grow to normal size. I have two tubbs blue that were about the size of pin heads, but they are slowly getting bigger. Good luck

Did they look like this in the previous system?

How long have you had them?

Were they picked up or shipped?

Did you light acclimate them?

Are they small in diameter or just severely retracted?

I'm kind of confused a bit. Did you know they were smaller when you purchased them?

Not sure what a Nightmare is, but if they are what you said they were and they are much smaller, I don't think you got what you paid for and this is an entirely different polyp maybe. I'm just guessing.

Also, many variables in your system will determine its appearance even though it looks differently in everyone else's. In this case, I think posting a picture here might ring a bell for someone else here who might have them specifically.

I always inquire or make note of the lighting, placement, parameters, ( if they will tell you ) when making a purchase if I don't know them and their history.

Just thought I'd take a shot to help you. Good luck BTW.

theyre prolly just still getting used to your system..or theyre just small frags right now, nothing to worry about imo

well they're definitely nightmares, my parameters are salinity 1.023 cal. 440 mag. 1275 ph 8.2 alk 2.8 (red sea test) no2 0.1 no3 0 amm. 0. What i was told is he had just got them and he had them 12" under halides, i have t-5s and have moved them lower in my tank. I did acclimate them to the lighting and i have battled micros before (blue hornets) i mean they're amazing just pint sized, i do weekly water changes. i picked them up, he had a 3 polyp regular sized but i chose the 5 polyp micros (got a better deal) and having already dealt with this i thought i was champion lol i was really just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences with this exact zoa. But thanks guys. BTW are my parameters good for zoas???

i have pics up(not the greatest), to me personally they look amazing and i believe truly are nighties they're just tiny. one does look like its already getting bigger.
