hello all,
I have some blueberry Micros that the polyps are very inflated resembling balloons?!?!?!
is this a process they go through when expelling waste or something because I do some brown slime coming from the mouths?

3 of the heads are ok now while 2 others are still inflated.

its weird they were like that for about 3 or 4 days the polyps complete extend like a zoa trying to get more light. all bulbous and looking like they could pop any second.
then as i made this thread 2 of the polyps went back to normal and now they are all settled back comfortably like nothing.
must have been expelling waste cuse now they look better then ever

I think I know what you're talking about.. I had a colony of BlueBerries and they would do that once in a while also.. I'm glad they are back to normal.. :)

The stuff coming from thier mouths is waste removal... The swelling is very healthy... it is part of how they are supporting themselves in the water coloumn... Both of my full colonies do that

I would worry much more about deflated or retracted polyps

yea after watching over my tank for the past couple of days its a cycle that the blueberries go through.
they bloat up then a few hours later deflate and look killer then eat and relax for a few hours rinse and repeat.
