Midas blenny inflamed/ damaged gill

Just got this guy today. Got him home floated in bag noticed on one side his gill is messed up. Wondering if its a infection or disease or injury.
I put it in qt for now with some heat, rock, flow, and airstone.

From what ive come across could be flukes in gills, could be amonia burn, could be and injury or just a deformity. Fish was breathing a little heavy but not too bad and is blotchy but i assume that more because its scared.

second pic is of good side. Gills not inflamed.

Any idea how to proceed with treatment.

I gave*it a little frozen bbs and some nls pellets*soaked in garlic. It took a couple nibbles.*

Not very active doesnt swim away. can almost touch it

Sorry to hear . Inflamed gills could have been flukes , velvet . Velvet extremely overwhelming and quick at killing .
