Midas Blenny

Does anyone have a Midas Blenny? I want to add one to my 120 reef. I was wondering if the swim around or the hide just with their heads showing most of the day.

Great little fish Mine is a little on the shy side and tend to hide out a bit but still swims around from time to time. Might just be the size of my tank and his tank mates he's a little intimidated by because I've seen them in larger tanks be far more active.

I have one in a 180. He's out a fair amount. It's like he has his routine, or something. Stick out of the hole...swim out have a look around...go back to the hole...go swim around (rinse & repeat)

Pretty active. Cool fish.

Mine is the same...mostly out and about, ocassionally in his hole.

I lost mine, it was a favorite in my 120. I am looking for another but the ones I keep seeing a way too big as I like to add smaller fish and watch'em grow! Very shy at first but after a a year or so it was always out and about but ready to bolt for a cubby.

mine is always out, even when I walk up to the glass he just hangs out in the open looking for food. Most active blenny I have had.

Love mine, very active and swims in the open.

I did stumble upon a color variant that I had never seen before. Hard to get a picture of but he is blue and purple.

i have a midas blenny and he is out part of the time swimming around and rest of the time in one or the other of his two holes. i think he is a great fish. just really seems funny and has a good "personality". its cool watching him backup into the holes.
