Mike's 300 DD peninsula build

looks good man. are you a single guy by chance? Reason for asking that your huge tank is in the kitchen and it seems not alot of space in there from the picture so I dear say either you are single or have a great wife.

hahahaha i was thinking the same thing.. This thing is going to be sweet!!!!

My friend just finished the bar that surrounds the tank this afternoon. Posting photos this evening.

Still working towards Saturday to get the tank running.

New BK Skimmer

New BK Skimmer

I picked up My Bubble King SuperMarine 200 today. All set to transfer everything to the 300 tomorrow!
Hopefully I will be able to get a good rockscape. Nothing worse that seeing a nice setup with bad rock

Very happy with my choice of skimmer. Extremely well built and matched for my tank

Everything looks great. I really like your stand with built in bar top. That is going to like sharp with that mosaic tile. Nice work.

Thanks avandss.

Trying to get it done before the holidays! At least the tank is running so it can stabilize.

Just a hint on level, going off the plastic rim may not give you a true level condition. Found that out with my old 220. Take your measurements from the bottom pane if doing it dry. If the water is in measure from the surface of the water to both sides of your overflow. If you had stayed with the stock overflows it would have been more critical but with the peninsula style you don't have to balance overflows.

Cove- We used a laser level to get the stand level so no issues. A tank that big need to be completely level

Avandss- Your basement and tank are nothing short of amazing so Im surprised it only took a year to complete!
