Mike's 300 Double-D

Mike, tank is really looking good. Still cant wait to get down and see it. I have been pretty busy with the tank upgrade. We are planning a meet at the house in late Sept., hope you and your wife can make it. I know its a long drive, but we have an extra room. Also i need to get a frag of that Stylo in the last set of pics. That is sweet. I am sure there is plenty in that DD that i would like.

See ya soon
Lynn and Anna

Mike, question on the drilling of the extra holes is there plenty of room for the bulkheads? was thinking of doing what you have done but maybe two outer one inch and the center 1.5 inches

We're very pleased with AP851. It has been performing great and seems to be sized well for the system (~400 gals total volume). We've had it running for over 4 years. Had to replace the impeller a few weeks ago (it imploded with corrosion). Deltec tells me that the new impeller design prevents that problem, but holy expensive parts, was that thing pricey! Thanks for the nice words about the 'scaping.

Hey Lynn (and Anna)! We will probably be hosting in October, like we normally do. Yeah, we'll try to get up to your meet. Should be great. And yeah, you know you're welcome to some snippets!

Hey Ritch. Yes, there's actually plenty of room in there for three 1" b/h. I'd have to measure to determine room for 1.5" b/h. Here's a shot of the bulk heads:

Hi John. We are running the 454's. To be honest, we think they were just a little too blue at first, but since running for a couple of months, they are mellowing out a bit and now look fantastic. I think we'll stick with them on the next "refill".

have any actinic fts's? i have 2 super actinic over the tank and i was wondering if anyone knows on here if you will get pop/blue with a super actinic and a 454?

I'll work on an actinic-only FTS tomorrow, John.

We had a bit of a mishap with our rock work and had to do some emergency 'scaping... no casualties, but will fill you guys in tomorrow. Need some sleep right now. :spin2:

For some reason I never realized how big that green acropora you have back there is until I watched the video! I was about to say I can't wait until my corals get that big, but I should probably concentrate on getting some corals first. ;)

Too funny Alex. The green slimer came from a friend of ours many years ago as a tiny frag. Always been a favorite of ours. It's virtually indestructible, and resists AEFW (which helped it survive the great AEFW attack of 2007).

Thanks Milissa! We were playing with the new camera and decided the original "rough cut" had a certain appeal...so Terry slapped some credits and music on there.

Was wondering if you could take a look at my flow plans and let me know what you think. I'm getting close to having water (hopefully by this time next week) so it's time to get in overdrive on my build. I started a thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1864687 to chronicle it.

Thanks
I'll jump over there Mike and take a look. Thanks for stopping in!

A couple of new arrivals to show you guys.
We've been waiting for months for a mated pair of bellus angels which finally arrived! YES! We're just pleased as punch with the quality (sorry about the dirty glass):

And one of favorites is still doing well!

Slowly but surely. I placed an order with liveaquaria that should be in tomorrow, so I'm excited to have a bit more life in the stock tank I'm using right now. I'll have to post pictures I guess.
