Milwaukee or JBJ CO2 regulator?

mass produced garbage, IMHO. I have a beer regulator w/ stainless needle valve & M3 solenoid off old freshwater plant tank from years ago.

I have seen this set up a couple of times. I had a Milwaukee and it broke. I have a Gen X on the way.

I have had two milwaukee regulators and they have been nothing but trouble. They are difficult to regulate when new and after a year the solenoid froze open on one and the other is on its last leg - runs for a couple of days and stops - runs for a couble of days and stops. It is good that they have good customer service because you will need it.

I know what your talking about with the milwaukee, it takes a little fenangling to dial it in but after that initial dial in I have never had a problem. I just leave the dials where they are and when I go to change the tank I shut it off and reconnect never adjusting the needle valve and there isn't a prob. If I had to adjust it I set it and wait 5 minutes then readjust and its works fine from there.

My first Milwaukee MA957, crapped out on me in about 2 weeks into using it, the solenoid just stopped working which meant it wouldn't shut off the C02.

I believe the valve got stuck and you wouldn't hear that clicking sound when it opens the valve.

I was mad and took it back to my LFS and he gave me a new one, it's been running for 1/2 a year with zero problems.

Very accurate bubble counter, once you set it you can walk away and let it be. It's very sensitive though, so you will have to play with the needle wheel.

Wow! I had no idea. I guess I'm in the minority here but I have one of each. I run a JBJ on one reactor and Milwaukee on another. I actually much prefer the Milwaukee. The needlewheels are much easier to use on the Milwaukee units. I've had both for a couple years and have never had a problem with either.
