Min. flow through sump?

Hey Fellas. My U-tube does not fit right on my new tank. It is a 165gal and I do have a CPR overflow that is rated for 300-400 gph. Is this too small. Does anybody have a CPR overflow laying around that is rated for 800gph. Will buy or trade. Thanks

Low flow through a sump isn't necessarily a bad thing as it allows for better contact time within the skimmer.

However your return pump is going to be what dictates whether or not this is enough flow.

I think I might put it on for now until I get the right one.

Put the heater in the main tank then.
