Minh's Blue LA Gigantea 6/26/2014

He continue to do well, 3/4 out to under the light now. I fed him last night. Next week if I don't see any Zooxanthelea recover, I will do a transplant on him with one of my other Gigantea.

Clowns look comfy..
Mine was far more bleached and it came back without a transplant...

You can do a zoo transplant?:eek2:
Really no big deal. The take in ZooXanthelae in the water. If I just take a tentacle or two from a healthy anemone, stuff it into the food and feed it to the bleached one. Since growth of micro organism often in logrithmic scale, start with a few thousand is a lot quicler than just start with one or two.

I would like that! Your nem seems to be settling in quite nicely. Bravo!

Here are a few of my Acro. Don't have my Macro lens but I use an acrylic box to take these pictures. No photoshop other than crop the picture and resize them.

Your gig is the most healthy and beautiful among the 3 from DD.

Mine continues to improve slowly. It is still a bit saggy during the day time, even when the light intensity and duration are reduced.

I hope it will pull through.

Minh your gig looks just like my monster purple (in terms of shape, tentacle size, even color).... I thought he was blue originally, but turned out he was just very very bleached.

Good work, love your collection!

Thanks.
I hope my Blue stays blue. I got a Purple and Blue Gigantea, and I have a purple Gigantea. I hope to get a blue Gigantea instead of another purple.
Here is a picture of my Purple and Blue Gigantea

Ol Clorox was cursing you that day!

Lol...

Clorox, where you at bro.

BTW...let's see some pic!!!!!

Here's a snap during 500mg Ciprofloxacin treatment, today. I'll likely move him to the QT, tomorrow. I haven't seen the improvements, that I'd like to see.

Looking good Minh and ctran.
I'm still struggling with mine. I thought it was dead today.
It had detached and was upside down...

I love the color of yours Ctran !

I was lucky. I have not even seen it when I bought it.
Your's seem to be doing better.

Well, I put my Gigantea to DT too early. He any my Purple deflated on July 3rd. I was trying to get out of town so I took them both out and put them in my treatment tank. I was not home but got my son to do water change and medication. Neither look too well when I got back into town last night. Will see how they do. I will post pictures later today.

Happens to the best of us.

Good luck Minh!

I went out of town and did not want the anemone in the TT or wander around, not settle in the DT so I stopr treatment day 5 and put him straight in since he looks so good. Mis calculation on my part. I don't really know what else I can do. It was the best course at the time. Hind-sight, maybe not but I am not going into what if...

What done is done. Will see if I can get both to live. I clear out my QT reef last night. Move the Haddoni there to the DT. I will set up another TT this PM and separate the two. Will treat them separately. I used Septra last course. Will get Ciproa nd treat them with cipro this course.

Sorry to hear that..
I recently lost my black and white clam I had for a while.. I bought a new clam and it died and took out my black and white.. Second time I have bought a clam and had it die and take out my other clams.. I wonder if they can get some type of infection...

Sick Gigantea on 7/4/2014. I was able to get them to attach to the wall of the tank by block them there with several cups. On 7/3 I got some picture somewhere at home with my SLR but not on my phone. The water is clowndy. The blue one is not doing too well but seem to improved. The purple on have an inverted mouth.

Yes, clam can get infection too. Mainly PMD. This infection does not kill quickly. I would QT calms before put them in your DT with other clams.
