Minh's New Blue Gigantea

OrionN

Moved on
I had an opportunity pt purchase this Blue Gigantea that have been in captivity for a numbers of year from a reefer here on RC so I did. Got him last Thursday. I put him in one of my tanks, and went out of town. Got back today and he is doing great exactly where I put him. I did get a picture of him on Saturday and he was doing OK then also.
These are today pictures. I just feed him a pencil eraser size piece of salmon. Ate it quickly.

Thanks.
I don't feed them unless I want them to grow and after arrival. They need the energy and raw material to repair any damage during shipment. Make sure they are healthy (not infected) first

Looks great. Different than what I usually see with blues. Almost looks like an aqua blue color in the pic.

Very nice. Good score on getting this.

What size would you put it? Nothing in the picture to judge the size with.

He is about the size of a solfball. I have a feeling he will be bigger after adjust to new tank. His tentacles are very small, not deflated but small in diameter and short. Because of this reason he looks larger in pictures. This significantly different than other Gigantea I have seen

The tentacles look similar to my brown/green one. On mine they are short as well and more bulbed on the end instead of pointy like I usually see with gigs.

He is doing great. I fed him well yesterday. Still need to get use to my tank. I need to add a lot more light to this anemone. Hope he will color up nicely. Very sticky and quick eater. It seem that his previous owner did not feed him much.
