Very nice looking anemones. You have a sickness....I hope you know that. Haha kidding. I love mags!!!

Can you see it now. I can see it well with no problem

Thanks for reloading - now I can see the last set you loaded.

Interesting to see the yellow one stretching like that. That's what my green one does at times too. Looks like a flower swaying in the current some days. Then other days mine is plastered to the rocks. I haven't made a connection as to why it does one or the other on different days.

Your nems are looking good!

Hummm... Black Friday update...

I might be getting a GIG for thanksgiving time frame....

No teasing. Pics.... :) Nothing better for a holiday weekend... Fill the stomach AND the eyes!

Our purple stretches like that... every morning when he wakes up, stretches a good 6" upward but doesn't seem to want to move himself.

Update on my Original Purple anemone. He got sick for a while and it took everything I know to get him well again. He would not eat and shrink from 20 inches to about 10 inches, bleached but now have regain his health. Almost 2 years since I bought this anemone. A lot of up and down, but now he is very happy in my DT, eating like a champ. Here is a video of him just about 1 hr ago. I need to go home at lunch so I got 1 min video of him under full light, Radion G2 and G3

We all know your a pro and resident expert in taking care of the anemones. If it gets sick in your hands, do the rest of us have any hope. :)

More to the point, any ideas on what caused him to take a turn for the worse?

edit: Just read the description in youtube, shaded....

I am not quite sure. He just declined in the holding system. would not eat and just shrinking. I took him out and put him in the QT by himself. Change a lot of water to get the condition optimal.
I did have Haddoni and Magnifica in that system but also with several other Gigantea. The other Gigantea did fine, well, so I am not sure why he was sick. He did not need antibiotic but just not well. I don't think I will ever know.
I guess I can just say allopathy betweem the Magnific aor Haddoni with him.
Theya re all in my DT now all 9 anemones, 5 Gigantea, 3 Haddoni and 1 magnifica. will see how they turn out in the next year or so.

Good to see, it looks healthy again. Do you remember how different the flow was, compared to when you first noticed decline? Compared to now? Looks pretty strong now, but looks quite happy. Is flow stronger now that before? And, with that strong flow, is there a "rest" period it slows a little? Like at night?

In my opinion this gig does not look as healthy as you can see him in the pictures back in 9/26/2012. I see some bold spots and weakness in his column .In my modest opinion I think this gig is just surviving , but it is no in his best. I would like to know all the changes has been through him.

Hope he get like used to be.

I am not sure what happen. The other Gigantea continue to thrive, he was a large one of the Gigantea but he just stop eating, not sticky and shrinking. Not deflated but just get smaller bleached and lost color. I took him out to my QT, did tone of water change about 1/3 every week. He gradually get stronger and start eating again and regain his color. I put him back to the new DT about 3 motnhs ago and he have been doing well ever since.
I think the flow was less in the holding tank, but not bad really. The condition of the holding tank was good, no problem that I can see. Don't really know what happen other than he was sick but have regain his health.

After the up's and down's my 1st Gigantea is thriving now. he is getting larger again and is regain his color. here is a picture from yesterday, 2 years since he came across the Ocean to Coprus Christi and ended up in my tank.
2 years mark yesterday.

Sorry to hear that Minh. I wish I knew what happen to mine. He wouldn't respond to anything. These Gig's are very difficult to take care of. They're ultra sensitive.
