Miracles in Glass 150 / 200 system build

Be careful how much time you spend around Frank. Before you know it, you've opened your wallet and parted company with some serious folding stuff for bits and pieces or fish and corals. I think he uses the Vulcan mind meld method -- You really need to get that :p
It's only time and money.

Funny...I never really thought about it...But Frank *DOES* look like either a wizard from Lord of the Rings....*OR* maybe the love child of Kenny Rogers and Santa Claus (eewwwww.........)
Sorry Frank.....I could not help it.....it must be the meds.........

Jeff
What size did you say you drilled the caps on the Dursos? I know you added a valve to the one when you had the other tank, what did you do with the second Durso?

Alan
I drilled a 1/4" hole in the other one and didnt have to change it, I also removed the valve form the first one and they work together perfectly !!

FTS..........?

Full Time Simpleton...?

French Tonsil Size........?

Female Tabloid Shots....?

O.k. - I give WHAT IS FTS Alan????

Jeff, Just my 2¢ worth, your aqua-scaping skills far outweigh your photography skills! Not saying the photography skills are bad as I can't do them well at all. I am just saying your tank needs to be seen in person. To think you are still adding rock, and the goodies are still to come. You know what I always say about this time. "I.O.T.A.M." Kinda like FTS = Full Tank Shot. Get it???

As you see in my boi, photography is not one of my "interestes"...LOL ...I will get a FTS up tonight..as you know the little one was sick last weekend, and then I got sick so havnt had much time to update the thread..but I will try to tonight!
I added that Live rock last night, that was some good looking live rock !!

Got it from David's yesteday ( the place Frank called you from )..I added 20 lbs to my dead rock.....whats the status of your tank?

I am going to visit David when I come your direction ( hopefully this week)
They have water jet cut the radius in the front and back panes of glass.

The tank has recieved so much attention - and the folks at Marineland/Perfecto are aggressively persuing the large/custom tank market.....They have been taking photos of the process. I should have them soon, and start a tank build thread.
Thanks,
T

Here are some aquascaping shots...I think I am almost finished with the rockwork.. I just need to place a small rock in the middle there where you see the plastic screenpipe, and a couple small pieces to hide the bottom return ...

I lowered the left side 4 way return pipe to about half way to provide flow through the middle of the rockwork and so I wouldn't have to have 2 "mountain peaks". Its hard to tell in the pictures but the whole rock assembly starts flat against the right backwall, and gently curves away from the back wall ..( except where needed to hide the 4way return pipes ) and down towards the left front corner, with a cave ( not easily seen in pic ) on the left side going all the way through to back wall..some sections held together with titanium rods ( thanks for the rods Frank ) !

I also drilled small holes in some of the rocks so I can atach rigid tubing to corals and place them on the rock where I want them to go, not where they "have" to go.

I like the layout of the rock Jeff. I just can't stand seeing tanks that try to be symmetrical.
I don't see any plumbing - and that is not an easy task I know.
Great job!

Thanks T2 !! One thing I cant stand is seeing powerheads in a tank, thats the GREAT thing about a OM 4way !!!!

I feel the same way - I considered that it would be "easier" on my tank to use some of the the Vortechs - but.... I would have to look at them, and the cords in the tank, and maintain them. This would mean getting into the tank, probably causing a rock slide.
With the OM-4 the maintenance is confined to ONE outside the tank component. Makes more sense to me....
I wil have the thread up and running in a few days.
