Missing anemone

I purchased a gbta yesterday and it was doing well, eating raw shrimp, etc. I woke up this morning and the anemone is gone. I know they move around but I cannot find him anywhere. All water params are in line. Could he have jumped the overflow? I don't see him in there but I cannot see all the way down. Any other input of where he would have gone?

Quite possible it's in the overflow or connection pipes. It also could've just found a crack and sucked it's self into it, out of your sight(use a flashlight) If in the overflow or pipes your water will probably be cloudy and any fish or corals will be very agitated if not dying shortly. In this case run carbon and do some water changes if possible... I hope you find him OK..

Chuck Norris doesn't feed anemones. He will scares the shrimp into the anemone

I bet he is in the rocks somewhere deflated. This is fairly normal for bta's especially green ones IMO. It's prolly just adjusting to the light and should be out in a couple days to a week. Photon LEDs are pretty intense so it may need more time to acclimate

Yea I knocked the lights down to 60% before he was added bit hopefully he comes out. Definitely not in the overflow I checked all the way down. And I don't think he could squeeze into the pipes as I have a cover on it. Thanks for the input. Hopefully he wasn't scared by Chuck Norris himself!

I agree it is most likely moved around/down/under a ledge/rock/hole.

My green BTA found a spot between two rocks under a ledge. I wondered where he went also. Day later there he was stretched out to get some light. I was amazed using a flashlight to see how far back he is with his foot planted on the underside of a rock how far he stretches. Did not know they stretch out that far. He's out every day now and looking great with nice fat bubble tips.. He's shy though and will move back if anything seems dangerous to him, like when I fed him for the first time after a few weeks. Took that food and he was gone between the rocks quickly. He's in the rock.. Id bet my wifes bubble butt on it...
