Missing Maxima.

One of my clams sre missing.

Two days ago it was in the same spot it has been for the same few months since I received it.
That was the last time I really checked the tank.
This morning I was looking at the tank and the clam is gone.
Simply not there any more.

I realize they can move but I have looked in every spot I could.
My rockwork is on a rack system so I can see about 80% of the bottom thru angles and such but I just can not find the clam or its shell.

Any ideas?

WEIRD! ANy fish that could have turned nipper? I've heard of Copperbands acting up and literally picking up a clam on RC before. ANy angels, tangs, Butterflys?

I'm assuming it's not possible that anyone could have been in your tank?

How big is the clam? Any possibility it could have fallen into a soft coral or an anemone and is underneath it?

May sound like an odd question but do you have any sea urchins in the tank? Until I got rid of mine, it used to enjoy using my 1" and 2.5" maxima as camouflage.

Clam is about 3-4 inches.
It was attched to a flat piece of rock in a lagoon at the bottom of the tank.
Still haven't found it.

I have had corals and fish disappear, but a clam? Maybe you were clamnapped. Hope you find the guy.
