Missing parts from new 9010 skimmer

Roger,

Just purchased a new 9010 skimmer for set up in my sump. Looking to follow the instructions on pages 32-33 of the manual.

However there is no part that looks like the one labeled (1) on page 32 either in the bag or already attached behind the part labeled (2). Is this part required in the 9010 or is it only used with the 9005 extension kit?

Moreover, there are only 2 suction cups not 4.

How do I go about getting the missing parts to get this operational?

Have you double checked all the packaging? The plate you are missing is loose, it is not in the parts bag and may be inside the skimmer. It is about 2" square and 1/4" thick. Two suction cups should be in the parts bag which is the kit for in tank install and then 2 extra were shipped loose in the box for use with the in sump install.

After getting your reply, I've gone through the box again with a fine tooth comb. I've taken off the bottom of the skimmer, the removable section of the font panel, looked in the top, and shaken the skimmer (and nothing rattles), so I don't think there is any place these items could be hiding. The two suction cups that were there were in the sealed parts bag. It seems the three loose parts are the issue. The box seemed factory sealed. What do you suggest I do?
