Missing Tomato Clowns

I bought a pair of tomato clowns on Friday. I know they don't usually like to be with other clowns, but these two had been living together fine in the store. Anyway, they immediately hosted with my LTA. This afternoon when I got home from work they were both missing. I haven't been able to find them in the sump, and I can't see into the overflow box (I'm too short).

Would an LTA eat it's host clowns? It seems like a stretch to me, but it seems odd that both went missing at the same time.

Thanks!

What type of LTA is it? Could it be a condylactis?

I would get a step stool and check the overflows for sure...I hope you find them!

They're not behind the tank, I looked. Even on my step stool I can't see into the overflow. I'll have to get a taller ladder.

I hope I can find them!

It's not a condy.

Here's an old pic of Audrey, the fish-eating anemone. She's about twice this size now.

I agree, but Audrey was looking awfully perky yesterday and she wasn't terribly interested in her food, which is very unusual for her. She's normally a voracious eater.

But I agree that it seems kind of far-fetched, so I'll keep looking. What are the odds that both clowns jumped into the overflow box on the same day?

Me either, but they're nowhere to be found. Not in the sump, not in the overflow box. Not on the carpet. Audrey probably didn't eat them, but I have no idea what happened to them.
