I went to fedex and picked up my Mitras fixtures today and this is what I found in side the box. Please let me know whom should I contact? Thanks

Hi

sorry to hear that - we will send out a new lower panel for you these are a 1 minute job to fit and are part of the maintenance program to remove anyway. Please email me at sales@aqua-digital.com for further assistance.

If anyone has an issue like this always contact the vendor directly by email as it took me ages finding this important support case on a forum, this just delays resolution, thanks.

I'm not sure if the damage would affect the LEDs' boards or not. Ill try it tomorrow. Both panels are broken. The black one and the clear as well.

no it would not you would have to drop these units from the top floor apartment to break that ;)

there is only one cover it is clear with a black backing.

I just checked the plastic cover. It's actually just one single panel. Thought it had a clear n a black sheet.

I also have problem with upgrading the firmware to 1.14. It keeps getting disconnected n tells me to unplug for a few seconds then plug back in. I did exactly what it says, but the process stop at step 4/5. I waited for a while then restart the light but firmware still shows 1.13 I tried both windows XP and windows 7.

yes this is normal. its part of the process, if you follow the onscreen prompts it will tell you to disconnect as the unit has to be rebooted.

please sign up to the support forum at www.profiluxsupport.com where all mitras and GHL product support is carried out for you convenience, You will also find all such related topics are covered there ;)

we are unable to offer direct support on reef central so all support is centralised for everyones benefit.

If you still have issues with updating please post there for GHL support

any thanks for everyones understanding ;)

I know this cause I follow the other threat you have and I also already searched the forum you provided but found no answer to the problem I have. I was hoping it would reset but looks like every time I tried it gets stuck at step 4/5 and won't move on. One guy mentioned about using bootcamp ill try that tomorrow

That's pretty much normal dude, just disconect voltage, reconnect and hit ok and it will finish, youll know by looking at the led display good luck...

I wish it was that simple 'cause did what you said more than 2 hrs of trying but no luck. I know some dudes said the same thing and it worked for them but I also found folks facing the same issue and can't do anything. No solution, just plain luck.

You mention boot camp so i am assuming you are using Mac, in this case you will need second level support so please wait to be accepted onto the support forum for second level support.

The software you are using is identical to the same software everyone else is using, so there are very liited options to stop it from working.

1. Mac cross over issue
2. waiting too long before unplugging the device
3. It has loaded the new firmware (read the LCD screen on reboot to varify)

But please wait to be accepted on the support forum for further assistance, as GHL are not open at weekends this may not be until tomorrow. However you can still use the lamps with the current firmware in fact you are about 2 levels beyond what mine are running right now ;)

I'm actually running it right now but with only one fixture. I don't wanna run the broken one 'cause i'm afraid water splash the fish make would get into it.

put some black insulation tape over the hole for now and run the lamp, you have our authority to do so ;)

Its going to take a few weeks to get a new part from Germany so we do no want a client not being able to use their lamp.

Micheal, what do you think is wrong with this broken unit? Here's the situation:
My light schedule for the first half and the second half of the day is composed with symmetrical spectrum and intensity. If I set this broken unit as Master and the other as Slave then the second half light schedule's spectrum won't match with the first.
ex: (same spectrum is set with the same intensity) << edited
10am to 11am - 12640
12pm - 12000
4pm - 12000
5pm to 6pm - 12640

So at 10 to 11am and 5 to 6 pm both have the same spectrum so I expect to get the same color, but I don't get the same color at 5pm. It gives me a totally different color temp at 5pm. However, if I switch this broken unit to Slave and the other to Master then they work just fine. I spent four hrs playing with different color temps to confirm that this broken unit fails to produce identical color temps at different time.
As long as I use it as a slave unit everything works perfectly.
So what do you think is wrong with it? or anything I should know about? Thanks
