Mixed clowns

I know you can't mix maroons and perculas but can a percula be paired with an occelaris?

Yep, people do it all the time.
Sanjays photons are a mix of the two, so are doni's snowcasso's.

I'm pretty sure Snowcasso's are perculas. I made that same mistake when I first heard about them as well. The name is misleading.

Why can't you mix maroon with percula? Maroons have been bred with ocellaris, so I see no reason why maroons can't be paired with perculas.

Ah, you're right, I had read elsewhere they were a mix of picasso and snowflake, but just double checked site, and they are both picasso/percs, but heavier on white color.

Occelaris are pretty tolerant of any other clown, it's usually the other clown that causes trouble. But tank-raised percs are pretty docile themselves.

Until they mature, then both of these clowns can become aggro towards other clowns.

Maroon clowns are one of the more aggressive clowns which is why you typically won't place another type of clown with a maroon.
