Mixed color Ocellaris pair

Has anyone ever succesfully kept black and orange Ocellaris together?

Or tried unsuccesfully?

Supposedly, Ocellaris is Ocellaris, regardless of color and they will pair up and sex, though any spawning will not be fertile. We are giving it a shot. Brought them home today and they are in a 10g QT right now. They sure seem to like each other, haven't seen them more than 6 inches apart since we put them in. But, there is a second QT set up and waiting just in case.

trying to put on a pic...

Well, that didn't work. Sorry!

I can't get the 'upload photos' option to show up when I click the little camera.

It's a true statement to say that regardless of color, Ocellaris will pair with Ocellaris, I've seen many black and orange pairs. The infirtile spawn I am not so sure of, I personally have never heard of this before.

Not too worried about them spawning. Might be cool if it happens, but not a big deal if it doesn't. Mostly, I just like to watch the pairs. They are still happily following one another around.

Thanks for the reassurrance!

B&W,Orange,Red,Naked or Snowflake all can be paired.Infertility is a rumor started so people would not try to breed the mixes{$}.It is false. If you mix dogs of different colors,do they become infertile? No!Neither do Ocellairs.

If you are that confident on your statement, I would like to see anybody had a pair of naked that have viable offspring (viable offsprings, not just eggs - tons lay eggs). Let's see the pictures. More of them are released than picasso.

I did not see your post until today.I shall respond.I am very confident in my statement.Yes I fully understand that there are many infertile Naked's coming from ? .Why are they infertile,is the next question you should be asking. What was done to them to make them this way. These fish are {MADE}not bread.{I will not explain the previous statement. If you do not understand what I am talking about, you must do your own research. I will not explain it to you.I will tell you that barring is iodine dependent. That should get you started}.On the other hand,I have seen NATURAL naked's bread through selective breeding.I have seen Mom and Dad.....and I have seen their Mom and Dad.I have also seen there eggs, fry, post met babies and grown fish.In Person with my own eyes.I will not post pics of other peoples fish..... Mods.... I do not own or sell these fish or there offspring.

mix clowns.

mix clowns.

well, i am having a pair of mix color right. they have been together for only 3 days. they sleep together at the same corner of the tank. but the male is rarely each food (mysis, flake), while the older female eats everything i put in. should i be concern about that? or the smaller fish is in the process to change sex? the little one does go around the tank and pick out little pods.
