mixing a large male and female scribbled angel

Has anyone had good sucess mixing a non mated pair of scribbled angels together? I have an opportunity to pick up a male and female scribbled that are both roughly 6". They are not currently housed together so I dont know how they would reactor to each other. My setup is a 240g with a few smaller angels. My biggest concern is whether they will coexist long term.

The should keep them seprate but allow them to see each other for few weeks should be fine. I have several large angels in my tank including a pair of Blue lines

Its hit and miss. It didnt work out for me, but I know of others that kept 2(m/f) without issue.

I had to remove my female. I tried everything including dividing the tank in half with eggcrate for a month. The male would go after the smaller female so bad and biting it, that I dont think it would live past a day. My male scribbled does not bother any other fish in the tank including several other angels.

what sizes were yours? Both of the ones I am looking at are 6" and are definately male and female. I am thinking this would decrease the chances of them fighting. I am more interested in them living in harmony rather than forming a bond as a mated pair. A True bond would be a bonus.

this time last yr, they were 4" and 3.5". First few months they got along, then the bigger one later hated the smaller. Tried reintroducing several times, but it never worked out. So I removed the female and it just recently died for some reason.

No other way to find out than just trying it out.
