Mixing Clownfish

Hello all,

I'm familiar with most people advising against mixing multiple species of clowns in one tank due to the obvious aggression concerns. I have though, in many tanks I've come across online and that I've seen on reefcentral, noticed that quite a few people are very successful in mixing clowns. I've seen pink skunks with clarkiis, amphiprion ocellaris with clarkiis, even skunks and maroons, etc.

I'd like people to share their clown mixing experiences if they've had any, be they positive or negative.

I have a pair of pink skunks that a friend gave to me in a 90 gallon tank with three chromis. The skunks are about 2-3 three years old and very peaceful. They have been in my tank for a week now. If adding another clown should I wait or try and do it as quickly as possible?

Please feel free to suggest any clowns you think would peacefully coincide with my pink skunks. I had really wanted to add maybe just one more clown. I'd be most interested in adding a single clarkii or a single gold stripe maroon clown. I'm wondering if it would be a better idea to add a single amphiprion ocellaris or even a pair? Any input on anything mentioned above is welcomed.

While many people are able to get away with it, I've seen many clowns killed this way in tanks that small. Even though skunks are often peaceful, they can get really belligerent towards other clownfish. At Tropicorium they said that they have more trouble with skunks beating up on other fish than any other clowns they raise.

I've got 2 x Clarki with a Percula clown there was trouble in the beginning but now they've settled down, I think as long as tey've got enough room its something you can be successful with.

The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach has a tank with multiple clown species, and they look pretty darn old (though admittedly also a little beat up). But the tank is also quite large, and packed with anemones.
