I am thinking about turning my 20 gallon cube tank into a Nem only tank. I have a few RBTA and i just bought a pair of GBTA. Would it be ok to put both of them together in the same tank? I also plan to try to breed a pair of clownfish as well.
Color morphs of the same species can be in tanks together without issue -- can even touch.
Though I would be a bit concerned about having that many BTAs in a 20 -- they can/will get rather large (( my last one was over 15" when I sold it )), and will add to the bio-load of the tank.
Yes, some people do infact force the anemone to split. By "forcing them to split" what I really mean is they take a knife and cut them in half, end result is 2 anemones...some of the time.
I wouldnt really recommend it as Ive never done it and would hate to lose an anemone doing so.
