Mixing Tangs

There is something about not mixing the same body types. They won't get along.

I hope you have a LARGE tank for all those tangs. Wouldn't want the Tang Police to come knocking on your door.

SIX tangs? I would think one if that for that size tank, but wierder things have happened. Watch out for the police.

Okay, Im the first to admit that the tang police gets a little crazy at times....but 4 tangs in a 75 is already way too much. Your lucky to get away with 2 tangs in that size tank. Those fish (if fed properly) will get way too big for that size of a tank.

I wouldnt worry about adding more tangs to your display, I would worry more about moving out two of the 4 tangs you already have.

Youve been busted!

lol damn! and they will come in a lambo !

lmao thats classic...... but they are correct thats way to many potential lg swimming fish for a 75 just think about it logically 6 lg swimming fish in a few small cubic ft of room thats torture

I have 3 in a 300 and Im thinking about them needing more room as one of them is already out growing it hes over 12 and growing

u have to many yellow tangs....(((((MY PERSONAL OPINION)))) u can have few tangs in a 75g tank if they are small, ones they get bigger u can sell then trade then or get a bigger tank......good luck

Tang police, more like people who need to get a life!

Honestly most LFS have multiple tangs in 30ish gallon aquariums with other fish and they are fine. Most fish die before getting to the LFS and another 1/3 might die the 2 weeks after a shippment arrives. Many many others will die in the hands of "experienced" aquarists.

Basically, buy some cool tangs, enjoy them as fish, and hopefully they don't die in your care.

Are you truly serious... Most LFS try and keep them less than a few days if possible they are not buying them to keep them for a lifetime in a 30ish gallon lol

Now thats a real hell of a caring post..... basically the hell with responsibility or humanity just do whatever you want they probably will die anyway lol

U think just like like my neighbor he keeps a Labrador Retriever in a 4x4 cage 75% of his life and thinks hes doing the dog a favor lol...... this post always brings out the best of them

No obviously that is inhumane but keeping a few tangs in a 75g is perfectly fine. I am more talking about the people who think you need a 100g+ aquarium to keep 2 tangs. lol it's fun keeping people on there feet.

Notice the face with the hat making a jester under my statement.

My hippo is about 3 1/2 inches and the 3 yellow tangs are really small mabye about 2 inches. so I was thinking to get the blonde naso instead of the powder brown and he will be small also.

Ultimately you are going to do what you want, but you asked for other reefers advice here. I think its been pretty much unanimous (except for ding2dadong, not quite sure what to make of that post yet) that you shouldnt even consider adding another tang to that tank. No matter how small it is. Five tangs in a tank that size is only asking for trouble. Im surprised your yellows get along?
