MJ Mod Kit Suggestions

I want to build 4 Maxi Streams out of MJ900's but need some help picking out the right parts on MJMODS.com. They sell pre-made kits but I wasnt sure if I were to mix and match would I get better results.

Props,

Dumas 3004
Octura 1240 prop
Octura 1435 prop
Octura 1440 prop
Octura 2035 Prop

Depending on wich prop everyone reccomends I will need either a big or small shroud/centering cap.

Stainless Steel Shaft or Carbon Fiber?

Those are my only questions right now,

Octura 1435 is your best bet for a MJ900.

Either SS or carbon fiber will work

i would save your money

i tried 2 kits for the 900 and still dont have one that works

if your stuck on the 900 try one and see if your lucky

if you go SS then your at the mercy if the rigid airline is even a close fit most ofthe time its not and you wont have a kit that will work rite if at all

go with the carbon fiber atleast youll have a straight shaft and a tube that fits rite

the MJ1200 sucks 20w compared to 8w for th 900

8 x 4 = 32w
20 x 4 = 80w

I have seen people with MJ900 Streams working fine. What are they doing thats different from the kit?

It says on the site that the rigid airline doesnt fit most of the time so I was planning to take a trip to the petsore anyways.

I have the kit as well. Not sure how tight of a fit the carbon rod is supposed to be in the rigid airline. It slides in, doesn't bounce around. Should I feel slight resistance when trying to turn it?

Broke the magnet on my first try. Running to LFS tomorrow to replace since I only have 2 MJs in my tank. Good luck on yours Newbie!

it should spin very easy, no resistance but not sloppy either or it will vibrate and make to much noise.

my local stores had no rigid airline so im dead in the water so to speak. I just ordered the1200 deluxe so ill play with 900,s again i said i wasnt done

i have read the post and i thought it would be easy too i just think some of the 900,s are weaker then others thats why i said try 1 kit before you get the rest that way youll know what you need for you
